Bodgaun Primary Hospital

Bodgaun Primary Hospital

Nestled in the rural village of Sindhupalchowk District, Indrawati Rural Municipality, Ward 11, Bodgaun Primary Hospital stands as a vital healthcare hub for the local community. Equipped with modern facilities and staffed by dedicated healthcare professionals, The hospital is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to all who walk through our doors.

History

Under the visionary guidance of founder Alberto Luzzi, in collaboration with the Italian NGO Senza Confini, and with the invaluable contributions of Jay Nepal's founding members Bahsudev Neupane and Shyam Chitrakar, local construction committee members, and numerous dedicated volunteers, the hospital has undergone a remarkable transformation. This initiative was made possible by generous land donations of local farmers; the hospital was constructed by our partner, Jay Nepal NGO, in 2018 and was formerly known as Bodgaun Medical Centre. By 2023, the facility was partially transferred to the local government to foster a collaborative partnership. Today, this co-management model thrives through shared financial commitment and the formation of two committees, integrating both government representatives and Jay Nepal members.

Central hub for health projects

The Bodgaun Primary Hospital, a one-story building, boasts ten well-equipped rooms. With reliable electricity, efficient water supply, and excellent sanitary facilities, it stands as a model of robust physical infrastructure.

As the central hub for all the health projects, the hospital plays a pivotal role in delivering essential medical services to the community. Its strategic design and facilities ensure it can support a wide range of healthcare activities, making it indispensable to our mission of improving health outcomes in Bodgaun.

In-Hospital Facilities
